The ACCUPRO 584455 is a standard single angle collet designed for use in TG/PG 100 collet chucks. It accepts a 0.5625 inch (9/16 inch) round shank and is manufactured to a Total Indicator Runout (TIR) of 0.00078 inches, providing the concentricity control required for precision milling, drilling, and reaming operations. The collet measures 2.386 inches in overall length with a maximum body diameter of 1.278 inches. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this collet in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where secure, repeatable tool holding is critical to part quality.
This collet is suited for production and toolroom environments running TG/PG 100 toolholding systems. It is used in horizontal and vertical machining centers, knee mills, and similar equipment requiring a 9/16 inch bore collet. The tight TIR specification makes it appropriate for finish operations and applications where tool runout directly affects surface finish or dimensional accuracy. Single-unit packaging makes it a practical replacement or supplemental collet for an existing TG/PG 100 chuck setup.
Designed for use with TG/PG 100 collet chucks accepting standard single angle collets with a 0.5625 inch bore.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Always de-energize and lock out the machine spindle before changing collets. Inspect the chuck bore and collet exterior for chips, burrs, or debris before seating the collet, as contamination directly affects runout. Use the appropriate spanner wrench or chuck key specified for the TG/PG 100 system — do not use pipe wrenches or improvised tools that can damage the collet or chuck threads.
