The ACCUPRO 54054085 is a solid carbide milling insert designed for high-performance metal removal in indexable milling applications. Manufactured in the XDLT style with a square insert shape and manufacturer grade ACP30M, this insert features a CVD coating and a positive rake geometry that supports efficient chip flow and reduced cutting forces. The insert carries an ISO code of XDLT10T308SRHCM and is sized to an inscribed circle of 0.3898 inches (9.90 mm) with a thickness of 0.1563 inches (3.97 mm). It is right-hand oriented, screw-held, and single-sided, making it a straightforward drop-in for compatible XDLT cutter bodies. Licensed machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary installers.
This insert is suited for milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a controlled maximum depth of cut of 0.0394 inches (1.00 mm) is appropriate. The ACP30M grade with CVD coating makes it well-matched to finishing and semi-finishing passes where surface integrity and tool life are priorities. The Series CI designation and XDLT cutter series compatibility define the range of toolholders this insert is built to work with. It is sold individually per package, with a minimum order of 10 pieces.
Designed for use with XDLT series cutter bodies. ISO code XDLT10T308SRHCM confirms fitment. Verify cutter pocket geometry and insert size code 10 compatibility before installation.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians using the appropriate torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer. Always power down and lock out the spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Inspect the cutter pocket seating surface for debris or damage before seating the new insert, as contamination can affect runout and tool life. Follow the cutter body manufacturer's recommended clamping torque procedure for screw-held inserts.
