The ACCUPRO 50419 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and other demanding workpiece materials. Ground from solid carbide and coated with ALTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), the 50419 handles elevated cutting temperatures and abrasive materials better than standard HSS tooling. At 3/8 inch (0.3750 inch) diameter, with a 150-degree split-point tip and three-flute spiral geometry, this bit provides aggressive chip evacuation and a self-centering entry that reduces walking without a center punch. Overall length is 4.25 inches, with a 2.25-inch flute length. Installed by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance professionals who need reliable performance in production or job-site drilling applications.
The ACCUPRO 50419 is suited for drilling stainless steel, cast iron, high-temp alloys, and other materials where heat buildup shortens tool life. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports deeper hole depths relative to bit diameter, while the straight cylindrical shank accepts standard drill chucks and collet holders without modification. This bit conforms to ANSI specification designations and fits into right-hand CNC machining centers, drill presses, and portable drilling equipment.
Designed as a right-hand jobber-length drill bit compatible with standard drill chucks, ER collet holders, and toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch straight cylindrical shank in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and handheld drilling equipment.
This bit is installed by machinists and industrial maintenance technicians. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet and verify runout before cutting. Carbide tooling is brittle and susceptible to breakage from side loads, interrupted cuts without proper feeds and speeds, or improper clamping. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit, so external flood or mist coolant is recommended when drilling materials that generate significant heat.
