The ACCUPRO 50377 is a solid carbide jobber length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in hard and abrasive materials. It measures 15/64 inch (0.2300 inch) in diameter with a 150-degree drill point angle and a 3.25-inch overall length. The ALTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating extends tool life by reducing heat buildup and improving wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. Three spiral flutes with a regular spiral type provide efficient chip evacuation, and the straight cylindrical shank ensures secure chuck retention. This bit is typically installed or used by machinists, tool-and-die tradespeople, and industrial maintenance technicians.
The ACCUPRO 50377 is suited for drilling ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, cast iron, and other abrasive workpiece materials where standard high-speed steel bits fall short. The 1.375-inch flute length supports drilling to moderate depths in a single pass. Its 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio makes it a practical choice for production drilling, toolroom work, and precision maintenance applications. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press and CNC spindle setups.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber length drill bit for use in standard drill chucks, collet systems, and CNC tool holders accepting a straight cylindrical shank in the 0.2000 to 0.2500 inch diameter range, per ANSI specification designation.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before loading or removing the bit from the chuck or collet. Verify chuck or collet runout is within acceptable tolerance before operation, as excessive runout accelerates carbide edge wear and increases breakage risk. Do not use this bit for hand-drill applications; carbide tooling requires rigid machine setups to prevent chipping or fracture.
