The ACCUPRO 4500288 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Built with a 140-degree split point angle and a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) coating, this drill delivers fast chip evacuation and extended tool life in tough cutting environments. The R-thinned web reduces thrust force at entry, improving hole quality and reducing push-through burr. With a 14 mm diameter and an overall length of 124 mm (4.882 inches), it fits standard straight-shank toolholders and drill chucks. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and fabrication professionals will reach for this drill when working in stainless steel and other hard alloys.
This drill is primarily suited for dry or coolant-assisted drilling in stainless steel and similarly challenging workpiece materials. The coolant-through design channels cutting fluid directly to the cutting edge, making it well-suited for CNC machining centers and drill presses where through-spindle or external coolant is available. With a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and a 77 mm (3.032 inch) flute length, it handles moderate-depth holes without excessive deflection. The right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes consistent chip removal in production drilling environments.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and production equipment accepting 14 mm straight-cylindrical shank tooling. Optimized for primary workpiece material of stainless steel. Fits within the 12.50 mm to 15.00 mm drill bit size range for toolholder and chuck selection.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the straight shank in a clean, undamaged collet or drill chuck to the full recommended insertion depth before running the spindle. Confirm that through-spindle or external coolant is active before drilling in stainless steel to prevent premature coating breakdown and tool failure. Follow shop safety procedures and machine manufacturer guidelines when changing or setting tooling.
