The ACCUPRO 4500215 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in aluminum and non-ferrous materials. It measures 3/8 inch (0.3750 inch decimal) in cutting diameter with an overall length of 5-23/64 inches (5.3594 inches). The 118-degree split point and DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating reduce friction and heat buildup, extending tool life in demanding production environments. Two regular spiral flutes provide efficient chip evacuation. Coolant-through capability supports high-speed drilling applications where thermal management is critical. This bit is suited for use by machinists, tooling technicians, and trade professionals working in fabrication, HVAC equipment manufacturing, or mechanical assembly.
This drill bit is rated for primary use in aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials, making it well-suited for sheet metal fabrication, structural aluminum, copper, brass, and similar alloys. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and right-hand cutting direction reflect standard jobber-length geometry used across CNC machining centers and hand-held drill applications. The straight cylindrical shank with a 25/64-inch (0.3906 inch decimal) diameter fits standard drill chucks without adapters. It conforms to ISO specification designation standards for dimensional consistency across tool changes.
Designed for use in aluminum and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Fits standard drill chucks accepting a 25/64-inch straight shank. Conforms to ISO specification designation for jobber-length drill geometry.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling professionals familiar with cutting tool safety practices. Ensure the drill chuck or collet is fully secured and the workpiece is clamped before beginning any drilling operation. Activate coolant-through supply before engaging the cut to prevent thermal damage to the carbide substrate. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use, as carbide tooling can fracture if run against hardened or ferrous materials outside its rated application.
