The ACCUPRO 4500191 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill designed for high-performance metal cutting applications. It measures 6.10 mm in diameter with an overall length of 91 mm and a flute length of 53 mm. The 140-degree split point geometry reduces walking at entry and lowers thrust requirements on the spindle. TiAlN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and hard alloy materials. Coolant-through capability supports chip evacuation and heat management at the cutting zone. This drill is suited for CNC machining centers and drill presses operated by machinists and toolroom professionals.
This jobber drill is appropriate for precision drilling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar hard materials in both production and job-shop environments. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard ER collet chucks and drill chucks across a wide range of machine tools. With a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio, the 4500191 handles moderate-depth hole applications without excessive deflection. The R-thinned web reduces chisel-edge contact and improves centering accuracy. It is typically used in aerospace, automotive, and general metalworking applications where tight tolerances and consistent hole quality are required.
Designed as a high-performance replacement jobber drill for CNC machining centers and drill presses accepting a straight cylindrical shank with an 8 mm shank diameter, within the 6.00 mm to 7.00 mm drill bit size range per DIN specification.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable machine safety procedures. Seat the straight shank fully and evenly in the collet or chuck before tightening to manufacturer torque specifications for the toolholder in use. Verify coolant-through passages are clear and coolant pressure is within the machine tool specification before running at full feed and speed. Inspect the cutting edge and point geometry before each use; carbide tools are brittle and should not be dropped or used in applications outside their rated material hardness range.
