The ACCUPRO 4500186 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. It features a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) diameter, a 140-degree split point angle, and a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) coating that extends tool life by resisting heat and wear at elevated cutting speeds. The R-thinned web reduces thrust load at the entry point, which matters when drilling through hard or work-hardening materials. With an overall length of 3-15/16 inches and a 1-3/4 inch flute length, this bit suits standard jobber-length reach requirements. It is installed by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and metalworking professionals who require consistent hole quality in production or maintenance environments.
This drill bit is rated for primary use in stainless steel, making it suitable for fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and industrial production environments where stainless fastener holes, ports, or clearance holes are routinely required. The coolant-through design supports internal coolant delivery when used in compatible CNC machining centers or drill presses equipped with through-spindle coolant, helping to evacuate chips and manage heat in deep-hole applications. The straight cylindrical shank and 15/64 inch shank diameter fit standard drill chucks and collet systems.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 15/64 inch straight cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material is stainless steel. ISO specification designation.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or metalworking technicians familiar with carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before drilling. Solid carbide is brittle - avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without appropriate feed rates, or dropping the tool. When using coolant-through capability, confirm spindle and toolholder compatibility with internal coolant supply before mounting.
