The ACCUPRO 4500139 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Built with a 140-degree split-point geometry and a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) coating, this drill cuts aggressively while resisting heat buildup at elevated feed rates. The 5.30 mm diameter (0.2087 inch) bit features R-thinned web geometry that reduces thrust force at entry and improves chip evacuation. With an overall length of 3.2283 inches and a flute length of 1.7323 inches, it fits standard toolholders and machining center spindles. Coolant-through capability makes it well suited for deep-hole applications where heat and chip management are critical. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators rely on this bit for precision work in production environments.
This drill is intended for use in stainless steel and other hard or abrasive workpiece materials where standard HSS tooling underperforms. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral flute configuration support consistent chip flow in both manual drilling operations and automated CNC applications. The straight cylindrical shank with a 6 mm diameter accepts standard ER collet chucks and drill chucks without modification. It conforms to DIN specification standards, making it a direct fit in metric tooling setups common in aerospace, medical device, and precision manufacturing shops.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for metric jobber drill bits in the 5.00 mm to 6.00 mm diameter range, compatible with standard ER collet chucks, keyless drill chucks, and CNC toolholders accepting a 6 mm straight cylindrical shank.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators familiar with carbide tooling handling procedures. Carbide is brittle - avoid impact loading, side pressure, or dropping the bit on hard surfaces before or during use. Always confirm spindle speed, feed rate, and coolant flow settings are appropriate for the workpiece material before starting a cut. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck to the recommended engagement depth to prevent runout and premature tool failure.
