The ACCUPRO 4500104 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in hard and abrasive materials. It measures 15/64 inch (0.2344 inch decimal) in diameter with a 3-inch overall length and a 140-degree split point geometry. The TiAlN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at higher cutting speeds. A slow spiral flute design and UR-thinned web reduce cutting forces and improve chip evacuation. This bit is suited for machinists, tool-and-die workers, and production drilling applications where carbide performance is required over standard high-speed steel tooling.
This drill bit is intended for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machine setups where tight hole tolerances and clean entry geometry are priorities. The 1/4-inch straight cylindrical shank provides a secure grip in standard drill chucks and collet holders. A right-hand cutting direction and two-flute slow spiral configuration make it well suited for drilling ferrous metals, stainless steel, cast iron, hardened steels, and other difficult-to-machine materials where a standard HSS bit would wear prematurely.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard production drill bit for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and drill presses equipped with standard 1/4-inch straight-shank collets or drill chucks.
This drill bit should be installed and operated by qualified machinists familiar with carbide tooling requirements. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck before use and verify runout is within acceptable limits, as carbide is brittle and sensitive to lateral loading. Always match spindle speed and feed rate to the workpiece material and consult published carbide cutting data for the specific application. Avoid using this bit in handheld drills, as carbide tooling requires rigid setups to prevent chipping or fracture.
