The ACCUPRO 4500067 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for drilling hardened materials in precision machining applications. Measuring 2.80 mm in diameter with an overall length of 46.00 mm (1.811 inches), it features a 140-degree split point angle for accurate self-centering entry with minimal walking. The TiAlN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in demanding, high-hardness workpieces. The UR-thinned web reduces thrust load at the point. This drill is suited for machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators working in metal fabrication and die-and-mold environments.
The 4500067 is optimized for drilling hardened materials such as hardened steels and tool steels where standard HSS tooling fails. Its slow spiral flute geometry controls chip evacuation in tough, low-machinability materials and helps maintain cutting edge integrity. The straight cylindrical shank with a 3 mm diameter seats securely in standard collet chucks and drill chucks. It is a single-piece, single-use application drill appropriate for bench drill presses, CNC machining centers, and precision drilling fixtures in production and toolroom settings.
Designed for use in standard 3 mm straight-shank collet chucks and drill chucks on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision drilling fixtures. Intended for hardened materials within the 2.00 mm to 3.00 mm drill bit size range per DIN specification.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck are fully stopped and de-energized before loading or removing the drill. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts beyond the tool's rated application, or excessive runout in the chuck, as these conditions will cause premature fracture. Verify shank seating depth and chuck clamping torque per the machine manufacturer's guidelines before initiating a cut.
