The ACCUPRO 4500032 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for drilling into hardened materials where standard high-speed steel tooling falls short. It measures 9/64 inch (0.1406 inch decimal) in diameter with a 2-inch overall length and a 13/16-inch flute length. The 140-degree point angle is engineered to reduce walking and improve penetration on hard substrates. A TiAlN coating increases surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in demanding applications. The slow spiral flute geometry promotes chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup at the cutting zone. Installation and use are performed by machinists, tool-and-die tradespeople, and skilled fabricators working with hardened steel and similar materials.
This drill bit is suited for precision drilling in hardened materials in production, maintenance, and repair environments. The 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio and UR-thinned web reduce thrust requirements and improve centering. The straight cylindrical shank with a 3/16-inch (0.1875-inch decimal) diameter fits standard drill chucks without adapters. Right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard drill press and CNC spindle setups. This bit is sold individually and is appropriate for both manual and CNC-guided drilling operations requiring consistent hole geometry in tough workpiece materials.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks and CNC tool holders accepting a 3/16-inch straight cylindrical shank. Intended primary workpiece material is hardened steel and similarly hard substrates. Conforms to DIN specification designation.
This drill bit is intended for use by machinists and metalworking tradespeople on drill presses, milling machines, or CNC machining centers. Secure the shank fully in the chuck before operation and verify runout before drilling into hardened stock. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit; use external coolant or cutting fluid appropriate to the workpiece material when heat buildup is a concern. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the bit at the first sign of edge wear to avoid workpiece damage or bit breakage.
