The ACCUPRO 4500019 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit engineered for drilling hardened materials where standard high-speed steel tooling fails. The bit measures 8.10 mm (0.3189 inches) in diameter with a 140-degree proprietary point angle and a TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride) coating that extends tool life under high heat and abrasive conditions. A slow spiral, two-flute design controls chip evacuation while maintaining rigidity in demanding applications. Overall length is 98.00 mm (3.8583 inches) with a 50.00 mm (1.9685 inches) flute length. The straight cylindrical shank is 10 mm in diameter and seats in standard chucks or toolholders. This is a right-hand cutting drill intended for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual machines running at appropriate surface footage for carbide tooling.
This drill bit is suited for production and job-shop environments where hardened steels, tool steels, and similarly abrasive workpiece materials are common. The 4xD flute-to-diameter ratio makes it a standard jobber-length option for through-hole and blind-hole operations in hardened material applications. The UR-thinned web reduces entry thrust forces, which is a practical advantage when drilling fully hardened workpieces. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators will find it a direct fit where carbide-grade tooling is required per shop process specifications. The DIN specification designation confirms dimensional conformance to international standards.
Designed as a jobber-length carbide drill for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and similar equipment accepting a 10 mm straight cylindrical shank. Rated for hardened materials per the manufacturer specification designation.
Carbide drill bits require secure, concentric clamping in a collet chuck or hydraulic toolholder to prevent runout-induced breakage. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before loading or removing tooling. Use cutting speeds and feed rates appropriate for solid carbide in hardened stock — running carbide at high-speed-steel parameters will cause premature failure. This drill does not support coolant-through delivery; apply flood or mist coolant externally at the cutting zone when possible.
