The ACCUPRO 39329081 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling of contoured surfaces, cavities, and complex profiles in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 5/64 inch (0.0781 inch decimal) mill diameter with a 0.0720 inch length of cut and a 1/8 inch shank diameter. The two-flute geometry supports chip evacuation in tight pockets and small-diameter work. An AlTiCrN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness for extended tool life when cutting ferrous and hardened materials. Overall length is 1.5 inches. This end mill is a single-end tool intended for CNC machining centers and manual mills where fine detail work is required.
This end mill is suited for precision machining of small features in dies, molds, and detail cavities. Its 0.0470 inch neck length and compact geometry make it appropriate for reaching into confined areas without excessive deflection. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians working with hard steels, stainless, and similar materials will find the AlTiCrN coating particularly beneficial for maintaining edge integrity at elevated cutting temperatures. Both job shop and production environments use this class of small-diameter ball end mill for finishing passes on sculptured surfaces.
Designed as a standard single-end ball end mill with a 1/8 inch shank diameter, compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with collets or end mill holders accepting 1/8 inch shanks.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine powered down and all spindle motion fully stopped. Secure the shank in a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder to the appropriate torque for the holder type per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edge and coating for chips or wear before each use. Small-diameter carbide end mills are brittle and should not be used to interrupt heavy lateral cuts beyond the rated length of cut.
