The ACCUPRO 317291 is a 10-flute corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding cutting applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlCrTiN, it handles hardened steels, stainless alloys, and heat-resistant materials where tool life and edge integrity are critical. The cutting diameter measures 1 inch, the length of cut is 2 inches, and the overall length is 4 inches. The 0.0300-inch corner radius reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and produces a consistent blend radius on profiled surfaces. A 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action across a range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers performing finish profiling, semi-finish contouring, and pocket milling in tool-and-die, aerospace, and general metalworking environments. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 1-inch diameter accepts standard ER or side-lock toolholders common to most vertical and horizontal machining centers. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional and climb milling setups. It is sold as a single-end tool in the ACCUPRO HS series.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for CNC machining applications requiring a 1-inch diameter, 1-inch straight shank, and 2-inch length of cut.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet chuck, hydraulic holder, or side-lock holder and torque to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout at the tool tip with a dial indicator before initiating a cut. Inspect the AlCrTiN coating and cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, and replace the tool if edge condition is compromised to avoid workpiece damage.
