The ACCUPRO 317253 is a 10-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 3/4 inch diameter, a 0.0600 inch corner radius, and a 1 inch length of cut, making it well suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where edge strength and surface quality matter. The AlCrTiN coating provides excellent heat resistance and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. At 4 inches overall length with a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank, the 317253 is installed by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production machining environments, and toolrooms.
This end mill is built for right-hand cutting with a 40-degree helix and spiral flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation. The single-end, centercutting design allows for plunge entry and full-radius corner profiling. It is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and consistent corner geometry are required. The micrograin carbide substrate supports the high flute count and fine edge geometry needed for harder workpiece materials and tight-tolerance finishing work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank with a standard ER or side-lock collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the tool holder. Verify collet or holder bore size matches the 3/4 inch shank diameter before tightening to the holder manufacturer's specified torque range. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as carbide tooling is brittle and should not be used if the edge is compromised.
