The ACCUPRO 31642572 is a solid carbide double angle milling cutter designed for precision milling of V-grooves, chamfers, and angular slots in metalworking applications. Built with a 60-degree included angle and a cutting diameter of 0.25 inches, this cutter produces clean, repeatable angular profiles in a single pass. The 1/4-inch shank mounts directly into standard collet chucks or end mill holders, and the uncoated solid carbide construction delivers consistent edge integrity on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Four flutes provide smooth chip evacuation and a fine surface finish. Overall length is 2 inches with a neck diameter of 0.125 inches, making it well suited for tight-clearance work on CNC machining centers and manual mills alike.
This cutter is used in tool and die, mold making, aerospace component machining, and general precision metalworking where accurate angular features are required. The 60-degree geometry is a common standard for dovetail preparation, V-groove engraving, and chamfer finishing on hardened and unhardened workpieces. The 0.072-inch cutting width and compact neck geometry allow access to confined features and shallow pockets without interference. It is typically installed on CNC vertical machining centers, knee mills, or manual toolroom mills running appropriate carbide speeds and feeds.
Designed as a direct-mount replacement or standard tooling addition for any mill or machining center equipped with a 1/4-inch collet, end mill holder, or compatible toolholder accepting a 1/4-inch round shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the shank fully within the collet or holder to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before torquing. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing cutters. Do not exceed the cutter manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and machine setup.
