The ACCUPRO 315724 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 1.25 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length with extended reach capability. The 3-flute, right-hand spiral geometry paired with a ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating delivers improved wear resistance and surface finish in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. A 37-degree variable-geometry helix promotes chip evacuation and reduces chatter. This tool is centercutting, allowing plunge entry into the workpiece. Machinists and CNC programmers working in job shop, aerospace, mold, and die environments will find this end mill suited for deep-reach finishing and semi-finishing operations.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where extended reach is required to access deep cavities, pockets, or contoured surfaces. The 3-3/8 inch reach length and 0.95 inch neck diameter allow the cutter to clear workpiece walls without interference. The corner radius end type, with a 0.060 inch radius, reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and produces a controlled blend radius at the floor-to-wall transition. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the 1 inch straight shank in a precision collet, hydraulic chuck, or shrink-fit holder to minimize runout; excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces surface finish quality. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool.
