The ACCUPRO 31571920 is a double angle milling cutter designed for precision milling operations requiring a symmetrical 90-degree included angle. Built from solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, this cutter delivers hardness and heat resistance suited for high-speed cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The cutter measures 7/16 inches in diameter with a cut width of 0.157 inches and seats on a matching 7/16-inch shank. With 6 teeth and an overall length of 2.75 inches, it is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This cutter is applied in dovetail preparation, chamfering, and angular groove milling where a consistent 90-degree geometry is required. The 9/32-inch neck diameter and 0.657-inch neck length provide clearance for reaching into confined features without interference. It is sized for light to medium material removal passes in production and job-shop environments. Machinists working on mold components, fixture plates, and precision mechanical parts will find this geometry and coating combination appropriate for tight-tolerance angular cuts.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 7/16-inch shank diameter via collet chuck or end mill holder. Verify spindle and holder specifications before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and locked out per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention hardware according to the holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutter for chips or edge damage before each use, as carbide tooling is brittle and should not be run with visible edge degradation. Follow applicable OSHA machining safety guidelines and verify correct spindle speed and feed rate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut.
