The ACCUPRO 315679 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 3/4-inch diameter, a 1-5/8-inch length of cut (1.6250 inches), and a 6-inch overall length with a 37-degree helix angle. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating improves wear resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With an extended reach design and a 3-3/8-inch reach length, this end mill is well suited for deep-pocket and profiling operations where standard-length tools cannot access the workpart. It is installed by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals in production and job shop settings.
This end mill is built for precision milling operations requiring a controlled corner radius of 0.0300 inches. The three-flute, right-hand cutting and right-hand flute spiral geometry provides a balance between chip evacuation and surface finish quality. The centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry into workpiece material without a pre-drilled pilot hole. It is commonly used in mold-making, die work, and aerospace component machining where tight tolerances and surface integrity are critical. The micrograin solid carbide substrate supports the tight diameter and shank tolerances required for close-tolerance work.
Designed for use in standard 3/4-inch diameter CNC milling chucks, collets, and shrink-fit toolholders. Suited for vertical and horizontal machining centers running right-hand spindle rotation. Compatible with ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials where ZrN-coated solid carbide tooling is appropriate.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom personnel. Secure the 3/4-inch shank in a precision-balanced toolholder and verify runout before operation, as shank diameter tolerance is -0.0001 to -0.0004 inches. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended feeds and speeds for the workpiece material and coating type. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chipping or wear before each setup.
