The ACCUPRO 315537 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it features a ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating for improved wear resistance and heat dissipation at the cutting edge. The 1/2 inch mill diameter and 0.030 inch corner radius work together to produce clean, radiused inside corners while maintaining tight tolerances. With a 37-degree helix angle and three right-hand flutes in a spiral configuration, this tool is optimized for chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. It is center-cutting and capable of plunge entry. Machinists and tooling technicians running CNC mills or manual knee mills use this tool for general profiling, slotting, and contouring work.
This end mill is suited for shop environments requiring extended reach capability. The 2-3/8 inch reach length and reduced neck diameter of 0.4750 inches allow access to deep features and pockets without interference from the shank. The 5/8 inch length of cut (LOC) and 4 inch overall length (OAL) support a variety of fixturing setups. Single-end configuration means the cutting geometry is on one end only. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC machining centers. This tool is particularly useful for die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and general precision part production where corner radius blending is required.
Designed as a standard 1/2 inch shank end mill compatible with ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems that accept a 1/2 inch shank diameter. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with appropriate toolholding for 1/2 inch shank tooling.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine powered down and in a locked-out state per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clean in the toolholder before tightening to the holder manufacturer's specified torque. Inspect the cutting edge and corner radius for chips or damage before use. Do not exceed the tool's rated cutting parameters for the material being machined.
