The ACCUPRO 31547128 is a double angle milling cutter designed for precision slot milling, chamfering, and dovetail operations in metalworking applications. Built from solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, this cutter delivers high wear resistance and thermal stability during demanding cuts. The included angle measures 90 degrees, the cutting diameter is 0.0625 inches (1/16 inch), and the cutting width is 0.031 inches (1/32 inch). The 1/8 inch shank diameter makes it compatible with standard collet systems. With only 2 teeth and a compact overall length of 1.5 inches, this tool is suited for tight-tolerance work in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This cutter is used in precision machining environments where small-diameter angle milling is required, including mold and die work, aerospace component finishing, and instrument manufacturing. The AlTiN coating extends tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless steel, and other difficult alloys at elevated speeds. The 1/8 inch shank allows direct mounting in standard ER collet chucks or precision tool holders commonly found in CNC mills and micromachining setups. Machinists working with fine detail work and tight geometric tolerances will find this tool appropriate for controlled finish passes and form milling at small scales.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production double angle milling cutter for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with collet-style tool holders accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8 inch shank fully into the collet and torque the collet nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cutting, as small-diameter carbide cutters are sensitive to misalignment and can fracture under lateral load.
