The ACCUPRO 315322 is a single-end ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and similar workpiece materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers rigidity and edge retention that high-speed steel tooling cannot match at elevated feeds and speeds. The 3/4-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 1-inch length of cut and a 37-degree right-hand spiral helix to promote efficient chip evacuation and reduce chatter. A ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating adds surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in demanding cuts. This mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by machinists and toolroom professionals.
This end mill is well suited for contour milling, 3D profiling, slotting, and ramp milling applications where a ball-nose geometry is required. The single-end configuration and 3/4-inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard ER collet chucks, side-lock holders, and hydraulic toolholders commonly found on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The 4-inch overall length provides adequate reach for most standard-depth workpieces without sacrificing stiffness. Applications include die and mold work, aerospace component profiling, and general-purpose production machining.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production ball end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 3/4-inch straight shank toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the holder manufacturer to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping before beginning a cut.
