The ACCUPRO 315081 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built from micrograin carbide stock, it features a 1-inch cutting diameter, a 2-1/2-inch length of cut, and a 37-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The tool carries a ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating, which adds surface hardness and heat resistance for extended tool life in demanding applications. It is a single-end, center-cutting tool with right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, production machining, and toolroom environments are the typical end users.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 37-degree helix and spiral flute geometry make it effective for moderate to deep cuts where chip clearance is a priority. The 1-inch shank diameter provides rigid, concentric tool holding in standard ER or side-lock holders. With a 5-inch overall length and no extended reach designation, it fits standard vertical and horizontal machining center setups where toolpath access is not restricted. The ZrN coating makes it a practical choice for dry or near-dry machining when cutting aluminum, steel, or similar materials at elevated speeds.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 1-inch tool holders compatible with vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder and torque the retention mechanism to the machine manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for damage before use, and verify runout with a dial indicator after tool installation to confirm concentricity.
