The ACCUPRO 315047 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this tool delivers high wear resistance and edge retention across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 5 inch length of cut, and an 8 inch overall length, making it well-suited for deep-cavity and extended-reach milling work. The zirconium nitride (ZrN) coating reduces friction and extends tool life. With three flutes and a 37-degree right-hand spiral helix, it provides an efficient balance of chip evacuation and cutting performance. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install and run this tool in production shop environments.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. The centercutting geometry allows for plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled hole. The 3/4 inch shank diameter provides solid tool holding in standard ER, side-lock, and shrink-fit collet systems. It is appropriate for general-purpose milling of steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous alloys where a long-reach, high-flute-count carbide tool is specified.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/4 inch diameter shank. Compatible with standard ER collet chucks, hydraulic chucks, side-lock holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems sized for 3/4 inch shanks.
This tool is installed by machinists or CNC setup technicians using appropriate tool holding equipment rated for the shank diameter and operating RPM. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Confirm runout at the cutting diameter with a dial indicator before production use, and verify that the collet or chuck is clean and free of chips or debris prior to tightening. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and cut depth.
