The ACCUPRO 315017 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 3/4-inch mill diameter, a 2-1/2-inch length of cut, and a 3-flute spiral geometry at a 37-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and a stable cutting action. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and edge retention needed for demanding cutting operations. It ships in an uncoated bright finish, making it straightforward to inspect for wear. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this end mill in vertical machining centers and manual mills where a single-end, right-hand cutting tool is required.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling applications in job shop and production environments. The 3/4-inch shank diameter allows direct mounting in standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, or shrink-fit tooling. At 5 inches overall length, it provides the reach needed for moderate-depth cavities and pockets without excessive deflection. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry into the workpiece, expanding its use across a wider range of milling strategies.
Designed as a standard 3/4-inch shank square end mill for use in any machine tool spindle accepting 3/4-inch straight-shank tooling, including CNC vertical machining centers, knee mills, and similar equipment using ER, CAT, BT, or HSK toolholders with a 3/4-inch bore.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe tool-change state before loading or removing the end mill. Use a calibrated torque wrench and manufacturer-specified tightening procedures for the toolholder style in use. Verify runout at the cutting end with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to confirm proper seating and minimize deflection.
