The ACCUPRO 314914 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. It features a 5/8 inch diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 3-1/2 inch overall length. The three-flute geometry paired with a 37-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction, extending tool life in abrasive or high-speed applications. This end mill is single-end and right-hand cutting, ground from micrograin carbide for dimensional consistency and edge retention. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, production facilities, and tool rooms are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a square shoulder finish is required. The centercutting capability allows it to plunge directly into workpiece material when needed. Its right-hand flute direction and spiral flute type make it compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual mills using conventional or climb milling setups. The 5/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling sized to accept that shank.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with collet chucks, end mill holders, or shrink-fit tooling that accept a 5/8 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state before tool changes. Ensure the collet or toolholder bore is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to the specified gauge length. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping to confirm proper seating. Follow machine manufacturer torque specifications for the toolholder style in use.
