The ACCUPRO 314869 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in milling operations. It features a 1/2 inch diameter cutting edge with a 2 inch length of cut and a 37-degree helix angle, making it well suited for aggressive chip evacuation and smooth finishes in a variety of materials. The micrograin carbide construction provides hardness and edge retention across demanding cuts. With a bright/uncoated finish, this end mill is appropriate for use in applications where coating is not required or where base carbide performance is preferred. It is a single-end, right-hand cutting and right-hand flute tool with a long-length designation and no chipbreaker.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. The 4 inch overall length and 1/2 inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard ER and end mill holders. The long length of cut is useful for reaching into deeper pockets or cavities where a standard-length tool would not reach. Machinists and tool-and-die operators working in job shops, aerospace, and general manufacturing will find this tool appropriate for ferrous and non-ferrous material applications.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 1/2 inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and ER-style collet systems on CNC machining centers and conventional vertical mills.
Installation is performed by machinists using appropriate end mill holders or collet chucks rated for the 1/2 inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Verify holder runout is within acceptable tolerance before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for feed rates and speeds appropriate to the workpiece material and depth of cut.
