The ACCUPRO 314768 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. With a 3/8-inch cutting diameter, a 2.5-inch length of cut, and a 37-degree helix angle, it delivers aggressive chip evacuation and clean side-wall finishes in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The three-flute geometry balances chip clearance with cutting edge strength, making it suitable for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. Micrograin carbide construction contributes to edge retention and resistance to chipping under load. This end mill is a single-end tool and is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals operating CNC mills, VMCs, and manual knee mills.
This end mill is well suited for job shops, production machining cells, and toolroom applications where a mid-length reach is required without transitioning to extended-reach tooling. The 3/8-inch shank diameter matches standard ER and end mill holders commonly found in both CNC and manual setups. The bright, uncoated finish makes it a straightforward choice for general-purpose work where coating is not required or where re-grinding is anticipated. It is used across industries including aerospace, mold and die, and general metalworking.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 3/8-inch shank end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and Weldon-style holders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and at rest before changing tooling. Verify holder bore diameter matches the 3/8-inch shank before securing; use a calibrated torque wrench on set-screw style holders per the holder manufacturer specification. Inspect the collet or holder for runout after installation before beginning a cut.
