The ACCUPRO 314729 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in milling operations. It features a 3/8-inch diameter, a 3-flute geometry, and a 37-degree helix angle for efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting performance. The cutting edges are coated with ZrN (zirconium nitride), which improves wear resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and edge retention under demanding cutting conditions. This end mill is center-cutting and designed for single-end use, making it appropriate for plunge entry and multi-axis contouring work. It is typically installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC and manual milling environments.
This end mill suits general-purpose milling tasks in shop and production settings, including slotting, profiling, and contouring. The right-hand cutting and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC machining center spindles. With a 3/4-inch length of cut and a 2-1/2-inch overall length, it fits a range of standard toolholders accepting a 3/8-inch shank diameter. It is well-suited for residential machine shops, production facilities, and job shops working with metals and engineering plastics.
Designed as a standard replacement or production end mill for toolholders and collets accepting a 3/8-inch shank diameter, compatible with CNC machining centers and manual milling machines using right-hand spindle rotation.
This end mill is installed by machinists using a compatible collet or end mill holder rated for 3/8-inch shanks. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the tool. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating to confirm proper tool engagement. Follow the machine manufacturer and cutting tool manufacturer guidelines for feeds, speeds, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material.
