The ACCUPRO 314060 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length. The 45-degree helix angle and ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating work together to improve chip evacuation, reduce heat buildup, and extend tool life across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides edge retention and rigidity under demanding cutting conditions. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, production facilities, and tool rooms.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in vertical and horizontal machining centers as well as manual knee mills. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional milling setups. Extended reach of 1-5/8 inches supports operations in deeper pockets or step-down passes where standard-length tools cannot reach. Single-end construction is typical for high-tolerance finish and roughing passes where consistent runout matters.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill compatible with standard 3/4 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic tool holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle at a complete stop and the machine placed in a locked-out, de-energized state per applicable safety procedures. Seat the shank fully into the holder and confirm runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the material and coating type, and verify that coolant flow is adequate to prevent thermal damage to the cutting edge.
