The ACCUPRO 313969 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring a controlled edge radius and extended reach capability. The tool measures 0.5 inches in diameter with a 0.625-inch length of cut, a 2-3/8-inch reach length, and a 4-inch overall length. The corner radius measures 0.060 inches, toleranced to plus or minus 0.002 inches, which helps reduce stress concentrations at the base of milled features. A ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance. With a 45-degree helix angle and two right-hand spiral flutes, this tool is suited for aggressive material removal while maintaining edge integrity in ferrous and non-ferrous applications.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where extended reach into pockets, slots, or stepped features is required. The centercutting geometry allows plunge cutting as well as conventional peripheral milling. The 0.475-inch neck diameter and 2.375-inch reach length allow access to deep-cavity features without tool holder interference. The 1/2-inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling. Micrograin carbide construction supports use in harder materials and higher spindle speeds typical of production shop environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard selection for CNC machining center applications requiring a 1/2-inch shank, single-end, corner radius end mill with extended reach geometry.
This tool is installed by machinists and CNC setup technicians using standard collet chucks or end mill holders sized for a 1/2-inch shank. Verify runout at the holder before cutting, as extended reach tools are more sensitive to spindle and holder concentricity errors. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Shank diameter tolerance is -0.0001 to -0.0004 inches, so select a holder with a matching bore class to ensure proper grip and minimize vibration.
