The ACCUPRO 313836 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations where edge strength and surface finish matter. It features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 0.030 inch corner radius that reduces chipping at the cutting edge and extends tool life in hardened and abrasive materials. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating improves hardness and heat resistance at the cutting zone. With a 4 inch overall length and a 2-1/8 inch extended reach, this tool is built for deep-pocket and hard-to-reach milling applications. It is a single-end, centercutting design with two right-hand spiral flutes and micrograin carbide substrate. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in job shops or production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for milling ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and similar materials where a corner radius profile is required to blend floor-to-wall transitions or meet drawing tolerances. The extended reach geometry makes it practical for cavity milling, deep slot work, and contour passes where standard-length end mills cannot access the workpiece. It is a single-end tool intended for CNC machining centers and manual mills with appropriate collet or end mill holder setups. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the material without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter. Compatible with standard ER collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders sized for a 1/4 inch shank.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped to the manufacturer-recommended torque for the toolholder type in use. Verify runout at the cutting end before production use, as excess runout accelerates wear and degrades corner radius tolerance. Handle carbide tooling carefully to avoid chipping the cutting edges during storage and changeover.
