The ACCUPRO 313668 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 1/2 inch diameter cutting head and 1-1/4 inch length of cut allow for profiling, contouring, and 3D surface work in milling machines and machining centers. A 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating adds surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting conditions. This single-end tool is ground from micrograin solid carbide stock for dimensional consistency and edge retention.
This end mill suits CNC machining centers and manual knee mills used in job shops, toolrooms, and production environments. It is well suited for finishing passes on contoured surfaces, die and mold work, and slotting or profiling cuts where a ball nose geometry is required. The right-hand spiral flute configuration and right-hand cutting direction make it compatible with standard spindle setups. Machinists and CNC operators in metalworking, mold making, and precision fabrication are the primary users.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for 1/2 inch collet or end mill holder setups on CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring a ball nose carbide end mill.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Secure the shank fully within a collet, end mill holder, or shrink-fit holder rated for 1/2 inch shank tooling before beginning any operation. Verify spindle runout and tool projection before cutting. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling.
