The ACCUPRO 313477 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and similar difficult-to-machine materials. The 3/4 inch diameter, 2-flute geometry paired with a 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action at aggressive feed rates. A ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating extends tool life by improving hardness and lubricity at the cutting edge. The long-length configuration with a 3 inch length of cut (LOC) and 6 inch overall length (OAL) makes this end mill well suited for deep-cavity work where standard-length tools cannot reach. Machinists and toolroom operators working on CNC machining centers and manual mills are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is configured as a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand spiral tool with no chipbreaker and a standard straight shank at 3/4 inch diameter. The long reach geometry makes it appropriate for profiling deep pockets, slotting tall workpieces, and contouring operations where extended tool projection is required. The micrograin carbide substrate provides a fine grain structure that supports sharp edge retention under continuous cutting loads in production environments.
Designed as a direct-mount tooling insert for standard 3/4 inch ER or side-lock tool holders used on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting straight-shank end mills.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly into a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder to the recommended engagement depth per the holder manufacturer. Verify runout at the cutting diameter with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as excessive runout accelerates tool wear and reduces surface finish quality.
