The ACCUPRO 313392 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and alloy workpieces. Built from micrograin carbide stock, it carries a ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating that extends tool life and reduces built-up edge in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The cutter runs a 45-degree helix angle with 2 right-hand spiral flutes, producing efficient chip evacuation and a clean finish. It is centercutting, making it capable of plunge entry without a pre-drilled pocket. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians use this end mill in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual setups where tight tolerances on slot and profile cuts are required.
This end mill suits general-purpose and finish milling applications in job shops, production environments, and maintenance machining. At 5/8 inch diameter with a 2-inch length of cut, it handles medium-depth slots, shoulder milling, and pocket roughing in steel, stainless, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials. The single-end configuration and 5-inch overall length provide clearance for standard toolholders and collet chucks without excessive overhang. Its right-hand cutting direction is compatible with conventional CNC spindle configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 5/8 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered off and the spindle fully stopped. Secure the shank in a clean, properly sized collet or toolholder to the recommended clamping torque for the holder type being used. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or damage before mounting. Follow shop-standard speeds and feeds for carbide tooling in the material being machined, and confirm runout after installation before beginning a cut.
