The ACCUPRO 313341 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. With a 0.5 inch cutting diameter, a 2.25 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length, this tool handles deep-reach profiling, slotting, and contouring where rigidity and edge life are critical. The micrograin carbide substrate supports high cutting speeds and resists chipping under demanding conditions. A ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. This end mill is installed and used by machinists, tool and die makers, and CNC operators in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar machinable materials in both manual and CNC machining centers. The 45-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, giving the operator flexibility to ramp or plunge directly into the workpiece. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional spindle rotation. Applications include profile milling, peripheral slotting, and full-width slotting within the rated length of cut.
Designed as a standard single-end square end mill compatible with 0.5 inch collets, ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation is performed by machinists using appropriate toolholding equipment rated for the shank diameter. Ensure the toolholder and spindle are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator after mounting to confirm concentricity within acceptable tolerance for the operation. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling.
