The ACCUPRO 313300 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers rigidity and wear resistance in demanding cutting environments. The 1/2 inch diameter cutter features a 45-degree helix angle and a ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating that reduces friction and extends tool life at elevated cutting speeds. With 2 spiral flutes and a centercutting geometry, this end mill handles plunge entry, slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. It is a right-hand cut, right-hand flute tool suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills where consistent, repeatable results are required.
This end mill is a general-purpose choice for shops machining aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and similar materials where a short-LOC, standard-reach tool fits the job. The 1 inch length of cut paired with a 3 inch overall length keeps the tool stiff and minimizes deflection during aggressive passes. The ZrN finish adds a layer of lubricity that benefits dry and semi-dry cutting strategies, helping maintain edge sharpness over longer run times. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators working in job shop and production environments will find this geometry well-suited to everyday roughing and finishing tasks.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for standard 1/2 inch collet or end mill holder systems on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully within a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder, verifying runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Confirm that feed rates, speeds, and depth of cut are within the machine and tool manufacturer guidelines for the workpiece material before engaging the cut.
