The ACCUPRO 313238 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and composite materials. It features a 13/32 inch (0.4063 inch) cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 2-3/4 inch overall length. The 45-degree helix angle promotes aggressive chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction, extending tool life in demanding applications. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and wear resistance. This tool is intended for use by machinists and tool-and-die professionals operating CNC mills or manual knee mills.
This end mill suits general-purpose milling, slotting, profiling, and contouring in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The regular length designation makes it appropriate for standard-depth passes without extended-reach setups. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are compatible with conventional CNC spindle rotation. It is a single-end tool, so the cutting geometry is concentrated at one end for maximum rigidity. Typical applications include production machining shops, toolrooms, and maintenance repair operations requiring consistent, repeatable results in steel, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-fit cutting tool for standard CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 7/16 inch straight shank, with a shank diameter tolerance of +0.0001 / -0.0004 inches for secure collet or end mill holder retention.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder to the recommended grip length to minimize runout and tool deflection. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before initiating a cut.
