The ACCUPRO 313166 is a single-end, corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers rigidity and edge retention under demanding cutting conditions. The tool carries a ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating that reduces friction and extends tool life in high-speed applications. With a 0.0200 inch corner radius, it produces a controlled radius blend at the base of milled features, reducing stress concentrations in finished parts. The 45-degree helix promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shop or production environments are the primary users.
This end mill suits vertical machining centers and CNC mills where accurate floor-to-wall transitions are required. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, giving operators flexibility in toolpath programming without a separate drill operation. The 3/8 inch shank seats directly in standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, or shrink-fit tooling at that bore size. It is appropriate for profiling, slotting, and ramping operations in steel, stainless, aluminum, and similar materials where a controlled corner radius is specified on the workpiece drawing.
Designed as a standard 3/8 inch shank corner radius end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with collet chucks, end mill holders, or shrink-fit toolholding at 3/8 inch bore diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Confirm the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a locked or safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the full recommended gauge length in the holder and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or coating damage before first use; a damaged edge should not be run.
