The ACCUPRO 313133 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 5/16-inch diameter with a matching 5/16-inch shank, a 1-1/4-inch length of cut, and a 3-1/2-inch overall length, placing it in the long series category. The 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces, while the ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating adds surface hardness and heat resistance for extended tool life. Micrograin carbide construction supports tight tolerances and wear resistance in demanding cutting conditions. This end mill is sold as a single-end tool with right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction.
This end mill suits general-purpose and finishing milling applications in machine shops, toolrooms, and production environments. The long series configuration makes it appropriate for deeper pocketing, slotting, and profiling operations where standard-length tools cannot reach. Two flutes provide chip clearance when working softer materials or where chip load per flute needs to be higher. The center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional side milling. Machinists and CNC operators working on vertical mills, VMCs, and similar equipment will find this tool applicable across a range of workpiece materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool for standard 5/16-inch collet or end mill holder setups on vertical machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before inserting the end mill. Secure the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the collet or holder and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Refer to the tool manufacturer cutting data and machine operator manual for appropriate feed rates and speeds based on workpiece material.
