The ACCUPRO 313120 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features a 5/16-inch diameter, a 13/16-inch length of cut (0.8125 inches), and a 0.030-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating provides enhanced hardness and heat resistance compared to uncoated carbide. This is a single-end, centercutting tool with a 45-degree helix and right-hand flute direction, making it suitable for plunge cuts, slotting, and peripheral milling. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this end mill in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for shop environments requiring tight tolerances in finish milling and profiling operations. The micrograin carbide substrate supports higher cutting speeds and feeds, particularly in aluminum, stainless steel, alloy steel, and cast iron. The 2-flute configuration provides good chip clearance in slotting and pocket-milling applications. Overall length is 2-1/2 inches with a 5/16-inch shank diameter, making it compatible with standard ER and end mill holders of that bore size. The regular length type suits most standard reach applications without the deflection concerns of extended-reach tools.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill compatible with standard 5/16-inch bore end mill holders, collet chucks, and ER-style toolholding systems used in CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Use a torque wrench and the appropriate collet or end mill holder to achieve secure clamping without overtightening. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the tool, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide end mills.
