The ACCUPRO 313052 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 1/4 inch diameter cutting face, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and a 2-1/2 inch overall length. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating improves surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting applications. With a 0.045 inch corner radius, this tool blends floor-to-wall transitions and reduces stress concentrations at part corners. The 2-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 45-degree helix supports chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This end mill is centercutting, meaning it can plunge directly into material. It is sized for 1/4 inch collets or tool holders.
This end mill is suited for machining operations in job shops, production environments, and tool rooms. Typical applications include profiling, slotting, and contouring where a controlled corner radius is required on the finished part. The regular-length configuration fits standard setups without extended-reach tooling. It is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/4 inch tooling. The micrograin carbide substrate supports use in harder workpiece materials where high-speed steel tooling would wear prematurely.
Designed for use in 1/4 inch collets, end mill holders, or shrink-fit toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Shank diameter tolerance is +0.0001 inches to -0.0004 inches for consistent tool-holder fit.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine fully powered down and the spindle at a complete stop. Ensure the shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the tool holder per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before running. Inspect the cutting edges and corner radius for chips or damage before each use, as carbide end mills are brittle and can fracture if run with pre-existing edge damage. Follow shop-standard speeds and feeds for the coating type and workpiece material.
