The ACCUPRO 313015 is a 2-flute, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precise milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers hardness and edge retention well beyond standard HSS tooling. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in demanding cutting environments. At 1/4 inch in diameter with a 3/8 inch length of cut and a 0.015 inch corner radius, this tool is sized for finishing passes and light profiling where edge quality matters. The 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. It is center-cutting, making it capable of plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills running at appropriate speeds and feeds for carbide tooling. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and set-screw holders common in both job-shop and production environments. It is a single-end tool with a 2-1/2 inch overall length, making it compatible with tight-clearance setups. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this geometry for profiling, slotting, and contour milling where a sharp, radiused corner is required to reduce stress concentrations in the finished part.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for 1/4 inch shank toolholders including ER collet systems and end mill holders used in CNC and manual milling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop-standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing tooling. Seat the shank to the full recommended grip depth in the collet or holder and torque retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a fine-geometry tool like this end mill.
