The ACCUPRO 312952 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 5/32 inch (0.1563 inch) cutting diameter and 2 flutes, this stub-length tool delivers rigidity and accuracy in tight-tolerance cuts. The 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces during operation. Manufactured from micrograin solid carbide, it holds a sharp edge longer than high-speed steel alternatives. The bright/uncoated finish makes it well-suited for non-ferrous metals, aluminum, and plastics where coating buildup is a concern. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shop or production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is sized for work that requires a small-diameter, short-reach cutting tool. The stub-length configuration keeps deflection low, which is critical when milling slots, pockets, or profiles in harder materials. The 9/16 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length suit setups where a compact tool profile improves rigidity. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC milling centers and manual knee mills. The 3/16 inch shank diameter fits standard collet systems commonly used across CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Designed as a standard solid carbide square end mill compatible with any CNC machining center or manual milling machine equipped with a collet system accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Secure the 3/16 inch shank firmly in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder before operation, and verify runout with a dial indicator to maintain tolerance. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer guidelines for speeds and feeds appropriate to the workpiece material.
