The ACCUPRO 312926 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1/8 inch cutting diameter, a 1/2 inch length of cut, and a 45-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this two-flute tool delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for tight-tolerance work on hardened and difficult-to-machine materials. The bright/uncoated finish makes it well-suited for non-ferrous metals and plastics where coating adhesion could affect surface finish. It is a single-end, right-hand cut, right-hand flute tool with a 2-inch overall length.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills where small-diameter, high-precision profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling are required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter, making it compatible with standard ER collet chucks and precision toolholders in that bore size. Machinists working on mold cavities, die work, prototype components, and precision mechanical parts will find this tool appropriate for finishing and semi-finishing passes at light to moderate depths of cut.
Designed for use with standard ER collet chucks and toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter. Suitable for CNC and manual milling machines capable of running small-diameter solid carbide end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with toolholder runout, collet condition, and proper clamping torque for small-diameter carbide tooling. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Inspect the collet and toolholder bore for wear or contamination prior to seating the shank, as runout directly affects tool life and part accuracy with small-diameter carbide. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for speed and feed parameters appropriate to the workpiece material.
