The ACCUPRO 312821 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for high-performance milling in demanding shop environments. It features a 1-inch cutting diameter, a 4.125-inch length of cut, and 7 flutes ground from micrograin carbide stock. The 38-degree right-hand helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlTiCrN coating provides thermal and wear resistance for extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. This is a single-end tool with a 1-inch straight shank and a 7-inch overall length, suited for milling steel, stainless, and other hard materials on vertical or horizontal machining centers.
The 312821 is designed for production milling applications where rigidity and tool life are priorities. Its 7-inch overall length and extended 4.125-inch length of cut make it appropriate for deep-cavity milling, long-reach profiling, and slotting operations on CNC machining centers. The non-centercutting configuration means it is best used for side milling, profiling, and peripheral cuts rather than direct plunge operations. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with ferrous alloys and hardened materials will find this geometry well matched to aggressive material removal strategies.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers accepting a 1-inch shank diameter, within the ACCUPRO Series HS product line.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an E-stop or lockout state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the toolholder to the minimum insertion depth specified by the holder manufacturer, and verify runout with an indicator before beginning a cut. Do not use this end mill for plunge cutting, as it is a non-centercutting design.
