The ACCUPRO 312636 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlCrTiN for heat and wear resistance, this tool handles high-speed finishing and semi-finishing passes where edge integrity matters. It features a 1/2-inch diameter, a 1-1/4-inch length of cut, and a 7-flute spiral geometry with a 38-degree helix angle. The right-hand cutting direction and straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard end mill holders. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments install this tool for contour milling, profiling, and floor finishing where a corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations.
This end mill is suited for high-feed milling applications on hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other difficult-to-machine materials where AlCrTiN coating provides thermal protection and extended tool life. The noncentercutting design means it is used for peripheral and side milling rather than plunge operations. With a 3-inch overall length and 1/2-inch shank, it fits standard toolholding setups found on vertical machining centers and CNC mills running finish or near-finish passes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement-grade tool for use in standard straight-bore end mill holders and collet chucks accepting a 1/2-inch cylindrical shank on CNC vertical machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated to the minimum insertion depth required by the toolholder manufacturer and that the collet or set-screw torque meets the holder specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
