The ACCUPRO 312197 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 1/2 inch diameter cutting face, a 5/8 inch length of cut, and a 5-flute spiral geometry with a 38-degree helix angle. The variable index flute spacing reduces harmonic vibration during cut, improving surface finish and tool life. An AlTiCrN coating provides high-temperature oxidation resistance and surface hardness, making this end mill well suited for cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other difficult materials. Micrograin carbide substrate adds toughness and wear resistance at the cutting edge.

This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations in metalworking shops, tool rooms, and production environments. The 4 inch overall length and 2.25 inch reach length support extended-reach applications where standard-length tools cannot access the feature. The single-end configuration and 1/2 inch shank fit standard ER, Weldon, and shrink-fit toolholders common in both light and heavy-duty milling setups. Right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral are standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation.
