The ACCUPRO 312050 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. This single-end tool features a 3/16-inch diameter with a matching 3/16-inch shank diameter, a 1/4-inch length of cut, and a 2.5-inch overall length. The five-flute geometry combined with a 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlTiCrN coating provides heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting conditions. Variable index spacing reduces harmonic vibration during high-speed passes. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
This end mill is suited for high-speed milling of ferrous metals, alloy steels, stainless steels, and hardened materials in both manual and CNC machining centers. The extended reach design, with a 0.75-inch reach length, allows access to features recessed below the workpiece surface or within deep pockets. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC spindle setups. Typical users include machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in job shop, aerospace, mold and die, and general metalworking environments.
Designed as a standard 3/16-inch shank square end mill compatible with collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders accepting 3/16-inch shank diameters on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding torque and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm shank engagement depth meets the toolholder minimum before tightening. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
